Group Exercise Classes - Free for Members

Has it been a while since you have participated in a group exercise class?  It has changed dramatically since the days of shiny spandex and leg warmers and when each class was pretty much a carbon copy of the one before! Variety is the name of the game when it comes to group exercise classes these days. We offer everything from tough, athletic classes such as Group Power, Group Core, Group Blast, and Group Kick to dance-based fitness such as Group Groove and Zumba.  We offer 60 minute cycling classes such as Group Ride and Indoor Cycling or if you are looking for a quicker workout try R-30.  R-30 is a 30 minute, less intense version of Group Ride. We also offer several different types of Yoga classes.  Our fabulous Yoga instructors are ready and willing to answer any questions you may have and offer modifications as needed. Group Active is our entry level class.  Group Active consists of a little cardio, strength training, balance training, core work and a stretch so you get a little of everything but not too much of anything. Cardio Pump offers some of everything as well but a much longer cardio section. Tai Chi will reduce stress and anxiety and improve flexibility and balance. Group exercise is more effective than ever before and may be just what you need to add variety to your fitness routine.

NEW! Now non-members can attend our great group exercise and specialty classes with a Punch Pass! Just purchase a 10 or 20 class Punch Pass at the Welcome Center. Grab our group exercise class schedule at the Y or download a copy from our website to pick out the classes you want to attend. Make sure to have your pass punched at the Welcome Center each time you take a class.

*Please Note: The Land Fitness schedule is subject to change.  The Bangor YMCA puts out a schedule quarterly.  We periodically make changes to our schedule due to low attendance, instructor and space availability. We make every effort to communicate changes at least two weeks before the change takes place.

Class Size: All classes are on a first come, first served basis.  The instructor reserves the right to limit class size to ensure your safety during class.
